Formed in 2016, Northern Illinois based alternative metal band Alborn consists of Justin Taylor [guitar/lead vocals], Alex Raser [Drums/vocals], Zame Lewis [bass] and Nate Guske [guitar/vocals]. Their sound has been compared to Deftones or a heavier version of Alice in Chains. But, make no mistake, Alborn has created something unique, hard and melodic.
As a startup, Alborn existed as a cover band under the name of “Alborn Theory”. But that’s not who they wanted to be. So in 2018, they shortened the name to “Alborn” and got to work. As part of that work, the band spent the latter part of that year tracking 10 original songs with Morgan Rose [Sevendust] & Jose Urquiza [3 Years Hollow] and started playing every live show they could. Those shows have now included sharing the stage with the likes of Shinedown, Sevendust, Buckcherry, Adelitas Way, Badflower, Gemini Syndrome, Plush and others.
Alborn has since released singles (“Full Circle”, “Cause to Create” and “Hindsight”) and have had initial success including Spotify's Rock Hard playlist, SiriusXM Octane, Music Choice as well as terrestrial radio rotation.
Entering 2022, the band was invited to join Sevendust and Plush on a run of New Year’s shows in the southeast. "It was everything we could have hoped for. Awesome crowd interaction, really cool venue, amazing staff...the craziest part was traveling all that distance and seeing familiar faces in the crowd, even a few Alborn shirts!? Sevendust's fanbase are true die-hards and they travel all over to see the shows, so to be welcomed in by them, especially in 7D's hometown, on NYE was surreal." – Justin Taylor.
The band has an arsenal of unreleased music and more touring dreams for 2022. Like and follow the band on all socials for updates.
